Greeting the flock of ships.

It was Cruise Day in Hamburg last Saturday!
Since the weather was super good, so, we drove down to Hamburg to join in the fun of watching the huge Cruise ships as they sailed along the Elbe River.

One of the Cruise ship.
Oh, we weren't the only ones there. When we arrived, there were already so many people, sitting and standing along the Elbe River watching the ship go by one after another.

There's more as you walk along the Elbe River to Landungsbruecke.
That huge cruise ship at the background, AIDA, I'm guessing is one of the Deutsche Cruise ship.

(: My awesome Papa and Mama!
We got free MSC Cruise ship flags from the distributors as we were walking along the Elbe River among the crowd. Since they were so nice to give out free flags, I decided to do some promotion for them. :D

Can't decide on which cruise ship to go on for a cruise, choose the MSC! Guarantee you a wonderful relaxing and unforgettable holiday on board!

No, this is obviously not one of the cruise ships, this is among some of the other tiny ships(if you compare them with those huge cruise ships, they are like tiny little ants beside an elephant) that happened to be sailing by along the Elbe River too at that time.

haha, oh sorry, I was drifted away by my imagination; being one of the characters in Peterpan... Just imagine how cool it would be as a crew member of a pirate ship!

Anyways, since we were late, all the best spot were all taken up. In the end, I had to squeeze in between people and under stinking armpits to take pictures of the ships and firework. haha! :D I'm just kidding. I couldn't smell peoples' armpit of course, I was just being squeezed among the crowd like a sardine fish.

My favourite picture.
This picture looks like one of the ending scene of a romantic movie with a happy ending where the couple live happily ever after. :D So beautiful and romantic...  Don't you think so?

I will be travelling to Netherlands this Friday to meet up with my cousin sister! Honestly, I am so so  excited that I can barely sleep! I can't wait to see her and go traveling together!

Don't worry! I shall update as soon as I get the chance!! :D

I wish you a great week ahead! (:

Footprints in Switzerland!

We finally step foot in Switzerland! :)
In Luzern by the river and the famous wooden bridge in the background.
Last summer holidays, we(the 5 of us  from Germany) went down to Switzerland to meet up with the Switzerland group. Oh, it was surely a great feeling being able to see them again finally after so many months!

It was extremely nice of the Switzerland group to take us around to the big cities like Basel, Zurich, Bern and Luzern. :D The view in Switzerland is simply mesmerizing; rivers with crystal clear blue-green water, mountain terrains that goes on endlessly in the far distance, train stations with almost similar characteristics, drinking-water fountains with unique craft works and architectures with such fine designs.

One must be sure to make a trip to Switzerland once in their lifetime to really enjoy the beautiful scenery. If the heat in Summer is too much for you, probably you can go in Winter or Spring. I would say that the view of snow caps on the mountains will surely be a worth every penny.

Besides that, do not miss the opportunity to go on the train through the hilly mountains like the Jungfrau! These trains are not like the regular trains, they are built by private companies for tourist to enjoy the scenery. Thus, I must give you a heads up, they are quite costly. I personally didn't get the chance to make the trip on one of these trains because of the short of time and money. Nevertheless, I have heard from people that it is totally worth seeing. And if you are a person who loves beautiful scenery, needless to say, you will surely going to enjoy the ride.

The week when we were in Switzerland, the weather was extremely great; no gloomy rain, only real summer sunshine! Sad to say, but it was rather ONLY for that week that I got to actually enjoy such good weather in my whole summer holiday. Other days, there was either heavy rain or dark clouds, one or two days of good weather in between, and that is it! WHAT a summer right? ><

It was an amazing trip with the rest of the bunch! I had lots of fun with them!

Good things always comes to an end, it was quite sad to depart with them but we will see each other again soon! So, take care you guys! :)

Bald sehen wir uns wieder!!

The power of a smile.

Each day deserves to be lead with a smile. :)

Today, just when I am all dressed up and ready to go out, it starts pouring so heavily outside. I was planning to cycle out to town to do some stuff but in the end I had to cancel my plans all because of the lousy weather. What a summer~

Anyway, whether is it a rainy day or a sunny day, it is still a new day worth smiling for. :)

Lucky enough, I didn't get dress up for nothing--I went to the library with papa to return my books and got two new ones to read. Just if you're wondering what books I'm reading, I'm reading german story books! :D

I joined the LeseClub2012 ReadingClub2012 organised by our town library. It is an activity that runs throughout the summer holidays where participants can read these selected books and answer a few questions as proof-reading.

I have already read 4 books! Not too bad right? :P This also means that I am already at the Silver level! 3 more books and I will be able to reach Gold level.

Let's see if I manage that before the deadline next Tuesday. :D Otherwise, silver is surely quite an achievement for a beginner like me.

Simple yet satisfying. :)

Today's Lunch!

A meal, Chinese style

Success! I managed to cook a nice warm Chinese style dinner yesterday! =D

It has been a long time since I last ate rice with a dishes. Ahh~ What a nice feeling to taste Chinese food again!

At the far left top corner: Tomato & Egg dish.
The bowl in the middle : Dumplings!
The plate of green vegetable: Mix vegetable - Broccoli, Red Pepper & Prawns
Last but not least, a bowl of white rice!

I can proudly say that the food tasted really good because the three of us ( Papa, Mama and I) ate everything up, the bowls and plates were almost squeeky cleaned! There was still some leftover rice but it was only because I cooked extra so that I can cook some Fried Rice for myself for lunch today! :D

Leer! Empty!
Coming here, I really got the chance to put my cooking skills into practice.

To be honest, I'm starting to develop a liking for cooking! :) Anyone else out there who love cooking too? Please do invite me for cooking-date! I will be glad to join you for cooking/baking! Who knows we might be able to discover a new wunderschoene wonderful recipe together! :D

Kochen mach Spass! Cooking is fun!
